I loved this game. Yes, it is similar to all the hidden object games we play, but leave it to EIPIX to select the perfect music, excellent graphics, and the build up of a unique storyline to keep me on the edge of my seat in this illusion/murder mystery. I loved this game. Yes, it is similar to all the hidden object games we play, but leave it to EIPIX to select the perfect music, excellent graphics, and the build up of a unique storyline to keep me on the edge of my seat in this illusion/murder mystery. Two illusionist brothers turn down a movie mogul to reveal their 'magic' tricks, leaving one brother dead and a would-be stagehand as the culprit. But, knowing EIPIX, there is much more to the story than meets the eye. The demo provides the sense of urgency needed to want to know more, and the puzzles and interactive HOPS were a lot of fun. I respectfully do not agree with the 3 star rating. This game was the best in the series from the first scene you are swept up in a magic show storyline. The attention to details, graphics and variety of games are amazing. I recommend you just buy from the start and enjoy the show!!

As usual, Eipix delivered an interesting and fun game to play. Personally, I liked the story lines, the graphics were good and I liked the magic tricks.

I've grown so tired of the storylines with ghosts, demons, monsters, etc... So this game was a lot of fun: realistic characters (magicians), realistic setting (hotel), realistic story (murder mystery).

I'm not nearly as enthusiastic about my Big Fish account as I used to be, simply because I can't embrace the "fantasy" themes of the games ad nauseam.

But this one... terrific!

I recommend this game!

A very good game, murder mysteries are my favourite ones. The scenery was just fantastic, the rooftop scenes were super, although I don’t like heights.
I particularly liked the Hidden Object Scenes, so many different approaches to them.
The Bonus Game was a great addition, a sequel taking place one year later.

A few points stop me from giving this game five stars: the scenes look a bit blurred; the sounds opening/closing your inventory, zooming in/out were a bit overpowering; the music was mostly too soothing, only two or three tunes were suspenseful. And the deductive dialogues turned out to be a click fest, the clues were not clear for me.

Story: Brothers, brought up and trained to be illusionists, are helping to launch the reopening of a hotel and provide publicity for the movie in which they are to do their illusions as the special effects. The remaining brother, director of the film, girl friend of one brother, and their staff, including the murderer are all in the hotel with you as you investigate during a police strike.
Good stuff: Lots of the usual CE bling, along with the usual game elements and some good artwork and VO's. You have a special pad that gives you bios, magic info, and various bits of help along the way.
Bad stuff: Lots of back and forth with the usual locks on everything that is not broken. The only Collectible in the CE is a rabbit with a top hat and they stand out like a beacon in most scenes, which takes the fun out of finding them.
A lot depends on whether you like murders, magic, both, or neither.
If you are a fan of magic, you'll want to see how the illusions are accomplished. If you enjoy murder mysteries, you'll want to investigate the various suspicious characters and incidents.
If you like both, you'll be in hog heaven. Don't like either - just pass on this game.
Try the demo and see what you think.
I'll wait for an SE since there is little of the CE bling that I want. Show less
